Mavericks of Music started with a problem. I wanted to share the artists I loved with my kids, but the books I found missed the essence. The music was sidelined. The defining moments were gone. Icons were rewritten as kids who simply liked to sing.

So I made the books I wished existed. Bold, simple, visual stories that keep the spark, the turning points, the reason these artists became Mavericks in the first place.

It worked. Bedtime turned into music time. Car rides got new soundtracks. Requests for “Bennie and the Jets” came from the back seat. The artists I grew up with became part of my kids' world.
